Length of Day on Earth

Please press the link below for a description of the equations that define the lengths of days. The tilt of Earth's rotation axis with respect to its orbital plane is presently 23.44 degrees. This tilt controls our seasons. The lengths of days through the year depends on the way the tilt varies with respect to a plane that is normal to the vector that points from the earth's center to the sun's center.
